Homeocan Kids 0-9 Cough & Cold Herbal Syrup is an ivy leaf herbal syrup formulated to help relieve coughs and loosen mucus and phlegm in children. Its medicinal ingredient, Hedera helix (ivy leaf), is used as an expectorant to help loosen mucus and phlegm, making this an easy-to-take liquid option when your child has a cough. The syrup has a pleasant honey-like flavour but does not contain honey and is suitable for age-specific dosing from infancy through 12 years, with consultation of a health care practitioner required before use in children under 2 years of age.

Ingredients: Each 2.5 mL contains: Medicinal Ingredients: Ivy Extract (Hedera helix, leaf) 19.887mg. Non-medicinal Ingredients: Purified Water, Sorbitol, Xanthan Gum, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid, Honey Flavour.

Directions: Children under 1 year: Take 2.5 mL (1/2 teaspoon) once daily. Children 1 to 4 years: Take 2.5 mL (1/2 teaspoon) twice daily. Children 4 to 12 years: Take 5 mL (1 teaspoon) 1 to 2 times daily. Do not exceed the recommended dosage. For use beyond 7 days, consult a health care practitioner.

Cautions & Warnings: Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if the safety seal is broken or missing. Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen, before use in children with gastritis or gastric ulcers, or before use in children under 2 years of age. Consult a health care practitioner immediately if your child develops fever, shortness of breath, purulent sputum or coughs up blood. Consult a health care practitioner before using with an opiate cough suppressant such as codeine or dextromethorphan. Do not use if your child is allergic to plants belonging to the Araliaceae family, sorbitol or any other ingredient in this product. Hypersensitivity or allergy may occur; if so, discontinue use. Overdose may cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and excitation; consult a health care practitioner if this occurs.
